DO YOU KNOW… EAT FRUIT?

The fruit is an exceptional food that requires minimal effort (easy and rapid digestion) for maximum comfort (lots of nutrients, especially for the brain). Essentially composed of fructose (easily convertible into glucose) and water (90 to 95%), fruits help nourish and purify the body at the same time, provided you choose them organic without chemical phytosanitary treatment (fertilizers, pesticides, etc.). ). So we don't teach you anything by telling you that you need to eat 5 servings of fruit and vegetables per day...

BUT DO YOU KNOW WHEN IT IS BEST TO CONSUME THEM TO TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE OF THE NUTRIENTS THEY CONTAIN?

This is an important question because your body does not assimilate nutrients in the same way depending on when you consume them. To fully benefit from all their benefits, you should always eat them on an empty stomach! They are therefore perfect for breakfast because they will not have time to be digested by the stomach. They will release their sugars and nutrients directly into the small intestine for maximum benefit.

If they end up in the stomach with meat, potatoes or starch, they will, on the contrary, begin to ferment. This is why, contrary to popular belief, it is not recommended to end a meal with fruit! This dessert that you thought was healthy and light will bring heaviness to your stomach and bitterness in your mouth. For dessert, opt for dairy (preferably organic of course and if possible made from sheep or goat's milk, more digestible than cow's), a biscuit, or a square of chocolate 🙂

The good habit to get into would therefore be to abandon buttered toast for breakfast in favor of some fresh fruit, compote or a freshly mixed smoothie. In fact, what you need in the morning are small amounts of food, easy to digest and which help the body to purify itself. As soon as you wake up, and during the morning, only consume fresh fruit and freshly squeezed juices. Indeed, the longer your body contains only fruits, the more they will provide you with maximum nutrients and better purification.

On the other hand, to optimize digestion and avoid feelings of “bloating”, do not hesitate to opt for some “tips” from China by preferring to drink tea during meals. Drinking hot water helps soften fats, which will be expelled more quickly. Unlike iced water which promotes the consolidation of oily components which will therefore be stored longer in the intestine.

PS: Have this fruity breakfast brought to you by your darling (or failing that, by the charming young man in the photo in the post…), it will only be better 😉

AND A TIP FOR CHILDREN:

Whether for breakfast or snack, choose fruit in all its forms (compotes, fresh fruit, juice, dried fruit, etc.). Obviously choose them from organic farming, which guarantees the absence of phytosanitary treatment (fertilizers, pesticides). It's healthy, simple and delicious!  Charlotte from QuinteSens
